Position Overview
As a Landscape Construction & Maintenance Crew Member, you will work alongside experienced team members on a variety of projects including landscape installations, hardscape construction, seeding, grading, and property maintenance. Every day offers something different, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the landscape industry.
Responsibilities Landscape Construction
- Install trees, shrubs, plants, mulch, and decorative stone.
- Assist with landscape design-build projects.
- Install edging, drainage systems, and landscape features.
- Read and follow project plans and layouts.
Hardscaping
- Assist in the installation of patios, walkways, retaining walls, fire pits, and outdoor living spaces.
- Prepare and grade base materials.
- Operate compactors, saws, and other construction equipment.
Seeding & Lawn Establishment
- Perform hydroseeding and conventional seeding applications.
- Install erosion control products and temporary stabilization measures.
- Apply straw mulch, seed, fertilizer, and soil amendments.
Dirt Work & Site Preparation
- Assist with grading, excavation, and site preparation.
- Operate skid loaders, mini excavators, and other equipment when qualified.
- Load and transport materials to and from job sites.
Landscape Maintenance
- Mulching and bed maintenance.
- Shrub trimming and pruning.
- Weed control and property cleanups.
- Seasonal maintenance services.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license required.
- Experience in landscaping, hardscaping, construction, or site work preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to work well with a team and follow directions.
- Equipment operation experience is a plus.
- CDL is a plus but not required.
