Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented dental receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate MUST have strong computer skills, problem solving skills, the ability to multi task and prioritize, and be a fast learner. They will serve as the first point of contact for patients, manage and schedule appointments, check patients in and out, process claims, keep impeccable records, respond to emails, texts and phone calls. This role requires excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Front desk personnel will play a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations and delivering exceptional patient service. The ideal candidate must be willing to cross train as a dental assistant and fill in when needed.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using VyneTrellis and Eaglesoft.
- Submit dental claims for patients.
- Collect payments, process claims.
- Maintain accurate patient records within Eaglesoft and Vynetrellis
- Review documentation for completeness and accuracy in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist patients with intake forms and ensure proper documentation review
- Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette
- Update patient information and ensure data integrity within the office management system
- Support all front desk operations including filing, and managing office supplies
- Treatment plan patients and answer questions regarding treatment, scheduling, post op care, etc
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards and confidentiality policies
Requirements
- Prior experience as a dental receptionist or dental assistant is preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology, coding and billing, and insurance verification processes is preferred
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and health information management practices
- Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette
- Demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity (Word ) and STRONG computer skills including typing
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and record keeping
- Ability to work collaboratively within the office team and pitch in where help is needed
- Must be able to on occasion stay past 5pm and work on occasions a Friday.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
