Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) to join our Surgical Services team in West Hollywood, CA. The SPT will be responsible for decontaminating, sterilizing, assembling, and distributing surgical instruments while ensuring compliance with infection control and hospital standards in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean, decontaminate, sterilize, and assemble surgical instruments and trays.
- Perform scope reprocessing and maintain proper sterilization procedures.
- Prepare and distribute case carts for surgical procedures.
- Maintain sterile storage areas and ensure compliance with infection control standards.
- Support Operating Room teams across multiple surgical specialties.
- Monitor sterilization equipment and maintain accurate records/documentation.
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and proper assembly.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
- Follow hospital policies, patient safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
- CBSPD or HSPA (IAHCSMM) certification required.
- Minimum 2 years of Sterile Processing Technician experience required.
- Acute care hospital experience required.
- Experience with HLD, case carts, steam sterilization, and instrument tray assembly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Pay: $29.00 - $31.00 per hour
