Position Summary
The Concrete Restoration Laborer is responsible for restoring concrete surfaces affected by underground utility construction. This role supports crews by performing demolition, forming, pouring, finishing, and site clean-up activities to ensure all restoration work meets company and customer standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Remove and replace concrete sidewalks, driveways, curbs, and roadways impacted by utility work
- Perform concrete demolition using hand tools and power equipment (jackhammers, saws, etc.)
- Prepare subgrade and base materials for concrete placement
- Set forms and assist with proper alignment and grading
- Mix, pour, and finish concrete to required specifications
- Assist in asphalt patching and general site restoration as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company and OSHA standards
- Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment
- Work closely with utility crews to ensure timely restoration of job sites
- Follow all safety procedures, including traffic control and PPE requirements
Qualifications
- CDL A
- Previous experience in concrete work, construction labor, or utility restoration preferred
- Ability to operate basic hand tools and construction equipment
- Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques is a plus
- Ability to read basic construction plans or follow direction from supervisors
- Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver’s license preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs regularly
- Ability to work in outdoor environments in all weather conditions
- Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting
- Ability to perform repetitive manual labor for extended periods
Work Environment
- Outdoor construction sites with exposure to weather, noise, dust, and heavy equipment
- Travel to various job sites may be required
Schedule & Travel
- Full-time position with potential overtime
- Occasional travel depending on project location
