Instone is a growing, dynamic company dedicated to delivering excellence in our industry. We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team in Alsip, IL. This role is ideal for someone eager to apply their accounting knowledge in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Duties
- Assist with month-end close processes and journal entries
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Manage cash application for customer payments
- Prepare and analyze monthly reporting packs for management
- Support compliance with bank covenant reporting
- Apply basic GAAP knowledge to daily accounting functions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and efficiencies
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred
- Solid understanding of GAAP principles
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAGE 100) a plus
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
