Project Manager – Sports Construction

We are a growing sports construction company specializing in the construction and renovation of athletic facilities, including sports courts, fields, tracks, and related site development projects. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys seeing projects through from start to finish.
Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This position serves as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate personnel.
- Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project documents.
- Monitor project costs.
- Conduct regular job site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
- Communicate project updates with owners and company leadership.
- Identify potential project risks and develop effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and project specifications.
- Prepare project reports, documentation, and closeout packages.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of construction project management experience.
- Manage projects involving: Concrete flatwork, sidewalks, curbs, and foundations, chain-link, ornamental, and sports fencing
- Asphalt paving and pavement restoration
- Sports lighting installation and electrical coordination
- Athletic fields, courts, tracks, and related site improvements
- Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with project management software is preferred.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing athletic field construction, synthetic turf, sports courts, or park projects.
- Experience managing projects involving concrete, fencing, asphalt paving, sports lighting, and site development is a plus.
- OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
