Position Summary
The Partnerships Manager owns CALIE's commercial revenue from sponsorship, exhibits, and partnerships. The role drives sponsorship and exhibit sales for Spring Forward, CALIE's annual conference, which draws roughly 3,500 attendees and more than 220 vendors and partners. This person manages the vendor relationships that make those sales work and develops partnership opportunities with companies and education technology providers year-round. They own the sales relationship and partner closely with the events and programs teams to design and deliver experiences that benefit attendees and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Own sponsorship and exhibit sales for Spring Forward, CALIE's annual conference, from prospecting through close. Build the prospect list, run outreach, and turn vendors into exhibitors and sponsors.
- Service exhibitor and sponsor relationships before, during, and after the conference so partners get value and come back. Handle booth assignments, sponsor deliverables, and on-site needs.
- Own the sales relationship and partner with the events and programs teams to design and execute exhibit hall experiences and sponsor activations that benefit attendees and partners.
- Develop year-round partnership opportunities with companies and education technology providers beyond the conference. Identify, pitch, and close partnerships that fit CALIE's mission and add member value.
- Manage the vendor relationships that support exhibit and sponsorship sales, including the decorating company and DMO. Coordinate floor plans, signage, and exhibit hall layout with the events team.
- Build and manage the sales pipeline. Track prospects, report against revenue goals, and keep forecasts current for the Executive Director.
- Partner with the Executive Director to set annual sponsorship and exhibit revenue goals and keep spending in line with them.
- Work with the events, programs, and operations teams so vendor relationships are visible across CALIE and the member experience stays consistent.
- Communicate clear messages that drive vendor participation and sponsorship, in coordination with marketing.
Qualifications
- Proven event sales experience, including sponsorship, exhibit, or partnership sales.
- Experience selling into large-scale conferences or events.
- Track record building a pipeline and closing revenue against goals.
- Relationship management skills with corporate or vendor partners.
- Comfort owning a function end to end while working collaboratively on a small team.
- Experience in associations, nonprofits, events, or education technology preferred.
- Experienced with Google Workspace, Monday.com project management, and any Association Management/CRM software.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
