- Manage a personal portfolio of complex client accounts across multiple industries
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key bookkeeping clients
- Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual bookkeeping deliverables are completed accurately and on time
- Conduct client reviews and respond to client queries in a timely and professional manner
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, proactively identifying issues and opportunities
- Onboard new bookkeeping clients and set up their accounting systems and processes
Bookkeeping & Technical:
- Oversee full-cycle bookkeeping including bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries
- Review and approve financial reports prepared by the team before client delivery
- Manage cash flow reporting, budgeting support, and financial analysis for clients as required
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and firm procedures
- Oversee payroll processing for bookkeeping clients where applicable
- Manage QuickBooks Online subscriptions, integrations, and setup for new and existing clients
- Coordinate with the tax team to ensure bookkeeping records are accurate and tax-ready at year end
Operations & Reporting:
- Report on bookkeeping department performance, capacity, and client status to management
- Implement and improve bookkeeping workflows, processes, and standard operating procedures
- Ensure all team activity is accurately tracked and updated in Karbon
- Assist with pricing, fee reviews, and scope-of-work discussions for bookkeeping engagements
