Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Dog Daycare Team Leader who is confident, experienced with dogs and ready to take an active role in managing group play, behavior and daily routines to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement activities that promote social and emotional well being, including, group play management, basic obedience, enrichment activities( puzzles, games, treadmill, scent spaces, parties, etc,)
- Maintain a clean facility. Regularly picking up poop and cleaning up accidents, Sanitizing kennels, play areas and equipment, and zones every shift.
- Follow a daily schedule and communicate with other team members.
- Communicate effectively with owners regarding their dogs progress and daily activities.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Observe and document dogs behavior, and any concerns to inform future planning.
- Requirements
- Prior professional dog experience required (daycare, kennel, grooming, training ,vet clinic)
- Strong understanding of dog behavior.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with dogs parents, and team members.
- Patience, empathy, and a caring attitude toward dogs and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks ,ability to stay calm and assertive in a fast paced enviroment
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations related to dog daycare settings.
- Ability to handle light physical activities such as lifting dogs , setting up play equipment, be on your feet for long periods, clean, bend, lift and move quickly when needed.
- All employees are required to be enrolled in and complete an online training program for baseline daycare knowledge. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on dogs lives while working in a supportive team environment .
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
