Business Development Representative
Position Summary
We are seeking a driven, results-oriented Business Development Representative who thrives on building relationships, following up with leads, and converting opportunities into scheduled appointments. This is a KPI-focused role that combines sales, appointment setting, and customer relationship building with dispatch coordination and office support.. The ideal candidate is motivated by performance, enjoys talking with customers, and is eager to help grow a fast-paced residential services business.
Reports To: Director of Revenue Operations
Pay: $50,000–$60,000 annually, based on experience
Location: Durham, NC
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Core Responsibilities
Appointment Setting
· Respond to inbound inquiries received by phone, email, web forms, chat, and other marketing channels.
· Contact prospective customers by phone, text, and email to schedule consultations and service appointments.
· Follow up on open estimates and unsold opportunities to reconnect with potential customers.
· Maintain accurate records of call activity and appointment conversion results.
Dispatch Coordination
· Coordinate technician schedules, adjust routes as needed, and respond to scheduling changes throughout the day.
· Communicate appointment details clearly with customers and field staff.
· Monitor job progress in ServiceTitan to keep work flowing efficiently.
· Complete additional administrative duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
· At least one year of experience in customer service, dispatching, appointment setting, or a similar office role.
· Experience using ServiceTitan, RingCentral, Microsoft Office, or comparable CRM/dispatch software.
· Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules and follow-up tasks.
· Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with office staff and field teams.
· Exceptional attention to detail and time management.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in the home services, construction, or skilled trades industries (HVAC, plumbing, roofing, foundation repair, etc.).
· Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
· Knowledge of KPIs such as booking rate, call-to-appointment conversion, and technician efficiency.
Physical Requirements
· Perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
· Sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and use a computer and telephone for extended periods.
· Lift and move office supplies or packages weighing up to 30 pounds.
· Move throughout office and storage areas as needed.
· Drive locally for occasional business-related errands.
Work Environment and Local Travel
· Occasional local travel may be required to deliver or pick up documents, obtain supplies, or visit shipping locations.
· Regular interaction with customers, vendors, employees, and leadership.
· Ability to manage interruptions, shifting priorities, and time-sensitive administrative tasks.
