Job Title: Summer Cook & Kitchen Staff
Supervisor: Food Service Director
Contract Length: ASAP - August 1st, possiblity for extension.
Shift Options:
- Shift 1 - Monday (5:30am - 2:30pm), Tuesday (5:30am - 2:30pm), Wednesday (5:30am - 2:30pm), Thrusday (6:30am - 3:30pm), Friday (6:30am - 3:30pm)
- Shift 2 - Sunday (10:30am - 7:30pm), Monday (10:30am - 7:30pm), Tuesday (10:30am - 7:30pm), Thursday (10:30am - 7:30pm), Friday (10:30am - 7:30pm)
Position Purpose: Prepare & serve meals to campers, volunteers, and staff. Must have or be willing to obtain a Food Handler License.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 19years of age
- Ability to stand and work for an entire shift
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Food Handlers License or abilty to obtain
- Follow directions
Essential Job Functions:
- · Support of the organization’s food service program through assisting in preparing, serving, and cleaning meals for up to 500 summer campers and staff a week.
- · Ensure that food service is being conducted in accordance with all applicable food preparation, handling, and serving regulations.
- · Ensure Camp’s kitchen, all food storage areas, equipment, dishes, and main dining hall are kept in clean and sanitary condition.
- · Providing courteous and otherwise excellent service to campers and other individuals receiving Ondessonk provided meals.
- · Participation in the agency’s waste reduction efforts, including container recycling and minimizing food waste.
- · Performing other duties as assigned by or in support of the Food Service Director.
