Auto Body Technician / Parts Prepper
Kaukauna, WI | $15–$18/hr for Parts Prepper | Body Technician Pay Based on Experience
About the Role
We are hiring for two hands-on opportunities within an automotive collision repair team: an experienced Auto Body Technician and a Parts Prepper/Auto Parts Specialist. The technician will complete full-body collision repairs, while the parts-focused role will prepare and organize components needed throughout the repair process.
Candidates with full body shop collision repair experience are strongly preferred for the technician opening. Key Responsibilities
- Perform collision repair work on all makes and models, primarily GM vehicles
- Repair and replace body panels, fenders, doors, bumpers, and other damaged parts
- Straighten frames and unibody structures using frame machines
- Prepare surfaces and automotive parts for painting and refinishing
- Prepare, organize, and support the handling of auto parts needed for repairs
- Work with estimators and service advisors to support accurate and timely repairs
- Follow OEM repair guidelines and safety protocols
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Document completed work and finish required paperwork
- Participate in continued training and certification programs
- Required Qualifications
- Ability to follow repair plans, work instructions, and safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Full body shop collision repair experience
- 2+ years of auto body repair experience
- I-CAR or ASE certifications
- Familiarity with frame machines, welders, and other body shop tools
- Ability to read repair estimates and follow repair plans
Pay: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour
