Part-Time Position

As a Safety & Security Officer, you will:
Patrol hospital buildings, grounds, and parking areas to identify safety and security concerns.
Monitor and authorize the entrance and departure of patients, visitors, and staff.
Respond to emergency situations and coordinate with emergency personnel as needed.
Assist with lobby, visitation, and intake areas by helping de-escalate situations.
Escort individuals throughout the facility and assist with storing personal belongings.
Support building evacuations, crowd management, and traffic control.
Investigate suspicious activity and respond appropriately to safety hazards and policy violations.
Assist with fire, tornado, and safety drills while maintaining proper documentation.
Train staff on fire prevention, evacuation procedures, and the proper use of safety equipment.
Inspect emergency and safety equipment and report maintenance needs.
Serve as a positive role model while treating every child, family member, coworker, and visitor with dignity and respect.

Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Excellent judgment, conflict resolution, and de-escalation abilities.
Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
This is an active role requiring frequent walking, standing, climbing, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift. Candidates should be able to:
Regularly lift up to 10 pounds.
Frequently lift up to 25 pounds.
Occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
