About the Role:
Join Generation 4 @ Welfare Baptist Church this summer as a Summer Camp Counselor! This exciting position allows you to inspire and mentor children in a fun, faith-based environment while creating lasting memories and friendships.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead engaging activities and games for campers.
- Supervise and ensure the safety of all campers at all times.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all participants.
- Assist with daily camp logistics, including setup and cleanup.
- Encourage spiritual growth through Bible studies and discussions.
- Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff.
- Handle any conflicts or issues that arise with care and professionalism.
- Participate in staff training and meetings as required.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old with a passion for working with children.
- Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or camp counseling preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
- Must possess a positive attitude and a nurturing demeanor.
- Willingness to embrace and promote the mission of Welfare Baptist Church.
- Background check required for all applicants.
