Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to read blueprints. This role involves working on various projects in an industrial environment, utilizing a range of welding techniques and equipment to produce high-quality products. Hourly pay is based on welding & fabrication skills.
Duties
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials to fuse metal parts and other materials ensuring strong and durable bonds. Flux Core welding a plus. Proficient in cutting and grinding.
- Read, understand and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine project specifications.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools ( levels, squares, tape measures, calipers, micrometers, etc) and power tools.
- Operate fabrication machinery and equipment including forklifts safely to move materials around the work area.
- Perform quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and basic math skills to ensure precision in work.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- MUST have a strong commitment to producing high-quality, precise work with excellent attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial site environments with a focus on fabrication and welding.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Familiarity with machining processes is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding and fabrication tasks.
