Summary
Spray technicians are responsible for all chemical/fertilizer applications to lawns serviced by the company. Additionally, the spray technicians’ responsibilities include all general work activities associated with applying fertilizers/pesticides, cleaning/maintenance of equipment, maintaining clean and organized storage areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Experience with chemical application equipment.
- Ability to identify and differentiate different warm season grasses.
- Good understanding of pesticides including but not limited to: herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides.
- Able to read and interpret all product labels.
- Maintain chemical storage and mixing areas in compliance with county, state, and federal regulations.
- Capable of calibrating chemical application equipment.
- Able to identify genus/species/cultivars of warm season grasses and ornamental.
- Able to identify abiotic and biotic conditions affecting plant growth.
Qualifications, Education and/or Education
- Two to four years field or equivalent work experience.
- Can calibrate all application equipment.
- Ability to compute rates, ratios, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volumes.
Physical Qualifications
- Lift, reach, bend, twist, squat, push, pull on a consistent basis.
- Have the ability to lift 80lbs.
- Able to walk at a brisk pace for extended periods.
- Frequently exposed to adverse outside weather conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
