Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Truck Driver to join our logistics team. We offer a lease to own tractor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations within 150 mile radius of Georgetown, IN while ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a commitment to safety, punctuality, and excellent customer service. We have a route that will need to go to Michigan possibly 3 x a week.
Responsibilities
- Operate flatbed
- We use mostly dedicated customers.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Able to use chains, straps, dunnage for flat bed.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of vehicle maintenance.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Experience
- Proven 3 years minimum experience as a Class A CDL Truck Driver with a valid commercial driving license (CDL) and clean MVR (insurance reasons)
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Experience in delivery driving or route driving is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in truck driving.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
