Alabama Fertility is looking for a Certified Sonographer to join our practice. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional who has a current ultrasound certification (RDMS). Previous experience in Women's Health is preferred. The successful applicant will be responsible for scanning patients and communicating clearly and frequently with our team to ensure the highest level of care for our patients. This position is a part time role. Shifts start at 7am and will require some weekend availability at least once per month.
General Responsibilities:
Perform follicular, GYN, and obstetrical ultrasounds in accordance with established protocols for diagnostic purposes
Perform ultrasound guidance for embryo transfers
Explain ultrasound procedures to patients so they are comfortable with the experience
Calibrate, maintain and control all ultrasound equipment
Discuss results with multidisciplinary team
Must have excellent communication skills and be well organized
