Physical Therapist – Full-Time

Are you passionate about helping patients regain strength, mobility, and independence? UPMC Williamsport is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist to join our dedicated rehabilitation team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a collaborative group of healthcare professionals while making a meaningful impact on patients' recovery and quality of life.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Every 4th weekend rotation
Two holidays per year
Inpatient Rehabilitation experience preferred
What You'll Do
As a Physical Therapist at UPMC Williamsport, you'll evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based therapy to help patients achieve their functional and therapeutic goals. You'll collaborate closely with physicians, rehabilitation staff, patients, and families to deliver exceptional care.
Key responsibilities include:
Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and reassessments.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician referrals.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care team members to support optimal patient outcomes.
Supervise and partner with Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs).
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and home exercise programs.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Participate in department meetings, continuing education, and professional development opportunities.
Support student learning by serving as a clinical instructor when appropriate.
What We're Looking For
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Current Pennsylvania Physical Therapist license (or eligible for licensure).
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
Experience in an inpatient rehabilitation setting is a plus.

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
Current Physical Therapist (PT) license in Pennsylvania or eligible for licensure.
Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and patient care skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Commitment to providing exceptional patient-centered care.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances
Current Pennsylvania Physical Therapist (PT) license required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
Act 33 Clearance
Act 34 Clearance
Act 73 FBI Clearance
Preferred:
Previous inpatient rehabilitation experience.
Participation in professional development and continuing education activities.
