Responsibilities
- Supervise roofing crews to ensure efficient workflow, adherence to project schedules, and quality workmanship across various roofing types including metal roofing, single-ply membrane roofing, and roof repairs.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to guide installation processes accurately.
- Enforce strict safety protocol adherence by implementing construction safety harnesses, ladder use procedures, and workplace safety regulations to protect team members at all times.
- Coordinate with project managers and clients to review construction plans and clarify scope of work.
- Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and heavy lifting equipment to ensure safe and effective operations.
- Conduct site inspections for roofing repair, restoration projects, siding installation, stucco work, tile laying, and other exterior finishing tasks.
- Manage material fabrication, carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry and framing, as well as plumbing or electrical components when necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction site supervision with a strong background in roofing installation and repair.
- Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations including the proper use of safety harnesses, ladders, scaffolding, and fall protection measures.
- Skilled in handling hand tools, power tools, metal stud framing, caulking, and general roofing techniques.
- Ability to lead outdoor work teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with clients, team members, and suppliers.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and extended outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
