- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related field; state teaching certification/licensure (or eligibility) preferred/required.
- Proficiency on a primary instrument/voice and functional piano skills.
- Demonstrated experience teaching general music and/or directing ensembles.
- Knowledge of music pedagogy, assessment, and rehearsal techniques across grade levels.
- Familiarity with notation software (e.g., Sibelius, Finale, MuseScore) and basic audio/recording tools (e.g., GarageBand, Soundtrap, Logic).
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.

- Master’s degree in Music or Education.
- Experience with marching band, jazz ensemble, or contemporary/pop ensembles.
- Background in musical theatre direction or pit conducting.
- Experience integrating technology (MIDI, DAWs, looping, live sound).
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities.
- Successful record of festival participation, adjudication, or competition leadership.
