Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic 5th Grade English Language Arts Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking. Responsibilities
- Implement comprehensive lesson plans focused on literacy education, writing skills, and reading comprehension tailored to 5th-grade students.
- Utilize diverse teaching methods, including learning technology and hands-on activities, to engage students with varying learning styles.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques.
- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, including standardized testing preparation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum development initiatives and integrate library services into daily instruction.
- Provide tutoring and individualized support to students with special education needs or those requiring early intervention.
- Mentor new teachers or teaching assistants, sharing best practices in childhood development, classroom management, and early childhood education.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience teaching 5th grade or similar age group in a school setting is preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in proofreading, lesson planning, and curriculum development for elementary learners.
- Experience working with children with autism or other special needs populations is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of literacy education strategies, math integration, and standardized testing procedures.
- Familiarity with teaching physical education components and incorporating movement into lessons is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for working effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and school administration.

Pay: $51,000.00 - $74,454.90 per year
