Job Description:
The Apartment Porter is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness, appearance, and curb appeal of the apartment community. This position supports the maintenance team by ensuring common areas, grounds, amenities, and vacant units are clean, safe, and presentable for residents and prospective tenants.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of the property grounds, parking lots, sidewalks, breezeways, and common areas.
- Pick up trash and debris throughout the property daily.
- Clean and maintain laundry rooms, clubhouse, fitness center, pool area, and other community amenities.
- Assist with apartment make-readies, including trash removal, cleaning, and light painting preparation.
- Sweep, mop, pressure wash, and clean exterior and interior common areas.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and property damage to management.
- Assist maintenance technicians with minor tasks as needed.
- Remove bulk trash and assist with dumpster area upkeep.
- Help maintain pool area cleanliness and ensure furniture is properly arranged.
- Perform daily inspections of the property to ensure a clean and professional appearance.
- Assist with moving appliances, materials, and supplies when necessary.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Clean the pool
Qualifications
- Previous apartment, janitorial, groundskeeping, or maintenance experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with residents, vendors, and team members.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and standing.
- Ability to work outside for extended periods.
- Ability to use cleaning equipment, hand tools, and power washing equipment safely.
Pay: $16.00 per hour
