Project Manager – Commercial Office Furniture & Workplace Design
Washington-Baltimore Metro Area | Full-Time | $75,000+
Are you an experienced commercial interior designer, space planner, furniture project manager, or workplace designer who enjoys taking projects from concept to completion?
We are looking for someone who can combine design, project management, client service, and commercial office furniture expertise to manage projects from the initial client meeting through installation and final completion.
What You'll Do
- Meet with commercial clients to understand their needs, budget, and workplace goals
- Create furniture layouts and space plans using AutoCAD
- Select and specify commercial office furniture, finishes, and systems
- Prepare and manage furniture orders with vendors and manufacturers
- Coordinate deliveries, installations, and project schedules
- Visit job sites and oversee installations when needed
- Resolve punch-list items and project issues
- Maintain strong client and vendor relationships
- Manage multiple projects while keeping schedules, budgets, and details on track
- Identify opportunities to grow relationships with existing and prospective clients
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate has experience in one or more of the following:
Commercial Interior Design Office Furniture Workplace Design Space Planning Contract Furniture FF&E Furniture Dealerships Corporate Facilities Project Management
You should have:
- AutoCAD experience
- Experience creating commercial furniture layouts or space plans
- Knowledge of commercial office or systems furniture
- Furniture specification and procurement experience
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent client communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- The ability to manage projects from design through installation
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
