A well-established, growth-oriented general contracting firm in the Dallas area is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. This is a confidential search. Further details about the company will be shared with qualified candidates.
What You'll Do
- Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects from conceptual through GMP/lump sum
- Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and supplier bids
- Perform quantity takeoffs from architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings
- Develop and maintain subcontractor and vendor relationships to ensure competitive pricing
- Participate in bid strategy, scope gap analysis, and value engineering sessions
- Coordinate with project management and operations teams during the hand-off from preconstruction to construction
- Track bid results and maintain historical cost data to improve future estimates
- Support business development efforts through proposal preparation and presentations
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of estimating experience with a commercial general contractor
- Proficiency with estimating software (Sage Estimating, ProContractor, Bluebeam, or similar)
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction documents
- Experience estimating across multiple sectors (office, healthcare, education, retail, industrial, or multifamily preferred)
- Solid understanding of subcontractor scopes, trade sequencing, and construction methods
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously with a sense of urgency
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred — equivalent experience considered
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
