Shummi US produces oral care products for leading American retailers. The Elk Grove Village facility utilizes CNC injection molding machines, robotic material handling systems, and automated mold processing and packaging stations to continuously produce high quality finished products without human intervention. This role will be responsible for maintaining the production lines’ automation and controls systems, interfacing with parent company engineers in Asia, and supporting future expansion of production capacity.
Your Background and Competencies
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in automation and assembly projects or manufacturing facilities featuring the same; 5+ years’ experience preferred
- Experience deploying and maintaining modern PLC systems including but not limited to ladder editing, sensor installation/adjustment, servo motor and drive configuration, etc.
- Familiarity with Mitsubishi Electric PLC systems preferred but not required
- Experience working with low voltage wiring systems
- Experience troubleshooting electrical and signal faults
- Able to read and understand electrical schematics
- Ability to speak and read Mandarin Chinese highly desirable but not required
