Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate LPN to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and ensuring the well-being of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to manage complex patient needs effectively.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient health, including vital signs and symptoms.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV insertion and IV infusion.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as PointClickCare.
- Stay informed about behavioral health issues to support patients' mental well-being.
- Assigns, supervises and evaluates performance for certified nurse assistants assigned to the unit. Conducts in-service as necessary to ensure appropriate care is delivered to each resident and that care rendered promotes both quality of life and quality of care issues.
- Assesses, monitors and evaluates appropriateness of care/treatment for residents. Documents findings in a timely, accurate and factual manner.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to nursing practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction.
- Must have up to date LPN licensing according to Maryland State Requirements
