Job Responsibilities
- Plan, install, modify, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment.
- Plan work efficiently and complete tasks with minimal material waste.
- Read and follow job boards, electrical prints, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
- Train and mentor less experienced helpers.
- Install, layout, cut, ream, bend, and hang conduit, including GRC, EMT, aluminum, stainless steel, and PVC-coated conduit.
- Operate hydraulic conduit benders and utilize proper conduit installation techniques.
- Plan and execute complex conduit runs.
- Set Motor Control Centers (MCCs).
- Ring out, identify, pull, and terminate electrical wiring.
- Safely move personnel and materials while following weight restrictions.
- Utilize electrical hardware including fasteners, hangers, boxes, bushings, clamps, couplings, and connectors.
- Operate forklifts and aerial boom lifts as required.
- Demonstrate proper care and maintenance of company tools and equipment.
- Follow all company and customer safety policies.
- Track labor, materials, and project documentation accurately.
- Assist Project Managers and Service Managers with logistics and material coordination.
- Perform daily jobsite cleanup and final project cleanup.
- Perform preventative and predictive electrical maintenance on industrial equipment.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery while maintaining maintenance logs.
- Communicate effectively with operators and team members across shifts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures and ensure equipment is properly secured.
- Travel to project locations as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of industrial electrical construction experience, preferably in food and beverage processing or similar industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Experience with hydraulic conduit benders and industrial conduit installation.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and prints.
- Familiarity with electrical hardware and installation materials.
- Ability to lead and train less experienced team members.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Must possess required trade tools.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and travel as project demands require.
