About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Strategic Account Sales Administrator to join our team in Chatsworth, CA. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact and administrative backbone for our top-tier aerospace accounts. You will be responsible for navigating the fast-paced, high-urgency demands of the aerospace and defense sectors, ensuring seamless order execution, and delivering exceptional customer service.If you thrive in a high-speed environment, possess a strong sense of urgency, and have a foundational understanding of the electronic component and connector industry, this is the perfect opportunity to advance your career.Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Account Support: Act as the dedicated internal liaison for key aerospace and defense customers, managing their specific needs with precision and a high sense of urgency.
- Order & Quote Management: Process complex purchase orders, requests for quotes (RFQs), and order modifications efficiently and accurately.
- Expediting & Problem Solving: Proactively monitor open orders, expedite critical shipments, and resolve supply chain or delivery bottlenecks to meet strict aerospace deadlines.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the business development team, outside sales, and factory operations to ensure total customer satisfaction and alignment on strategic goals.
- Data & ERP Management: Utilize Microsoft ERP systems to input orders, track inventory, and maintain accurate customer records.
- Technical Administration: Apply basic knowledge of electronic component nomenclature and connector industry manufacturers to interpret customer requirements and ensure accurate order processing.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of proven experience in customer service, sales administration, or inside sales.
- Industry Background: Prior experience servicing aerospace, defense, or high-tech manufacturing accounts is highly preferred. A background working for an electronic component distributor is a major plus.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with component nomenclature and major manufacturers within the connector industry.
- Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). Basic knowledge or hands-on experience with Microsoft ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics) is highly desired.
- Working Style: Exceptional ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accuracy in a high-speed, demanding environment. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
