Quality TechnicianPosition Details
- Location: Santa Rosa, CA 95403
- Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week
- Contract Duration: Approximately 24 months
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to join a precision manufacturing team. This role is responsible for performing inspections of precision-machined components, operating advanced metrology equipment, supporting quality management activities, and ensuring products meet established engineering and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical inspection of precision-machined components.
- Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), including optical and touch probe systems.
- Utilize advanced metrology equipment such as interferometers, laser micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Perform calibration of metrology and inspection equipment.
- Support Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities related to Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring complete and accurate documentation.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and mechanical specifications.
- Inspect and measure small precision components while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain quality records and inspection documentation.
- Perform additional quality assurance and manufacturing support duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in a quality control (QC) and manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and mechanical specifications.
- Strong manual dexterity with the ability to handle and inspect small precision parts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Knowledge of Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes.
- Experience conducting root cause investigations.
- Familiarity with Kaizen and continuous improvement methodologies (PDCA).
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management systems.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $23.41–$31.21 per hour, based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
