We are seeking a friendly, creative, and detail-oriented Part-Time Sales & Jewelry Design Associate to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with jewelry design and creation by providing guidance, recommendations, and hands-on support.
- Help customers complete custom jewelry projects in a welcoming and informative environment.
- Manage jewelry repair intake, communicate pricing, and oversee timely completion to ensure promised deadlines are met.
- Maintain inventory levels and assist with product ordering and restocking.
- Inspect, price, label, and catalog new merchandise.
- Create jewelry pieces for in-store and online sales.
- Maintain the overall appearance and organization of the store, including displays and merchandising.
- Process credit card and cash transactions, handle returns/refunds, and assist with end-of-day reconciliation.
- Participate in private lessons, group classes, and special events when needed.
- Stay current on jewelry and fashion trends, making recommendations for new products and business opportunities that align with our brand.
- Coordinate with management regarding customer inquiries, events, parties, and special requests.
- Assist with e-commerce operations, including inventory updates, online orders, shipping, and fulfillment.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support daily store operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Jewelry-making experience required, including: wire wrapping, jewelry finishing, crimping, hand knotting, and stretchy bracelet design.
- Knowledge of jewelry components and materials, including findings, gemstones, pearls, beads, stringing materials, leather and cording.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining organization and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude, creativity, and willingness to learn.
- Weekend availability required.
- Evening availability is occasionally required for scheduled events and classes.
