American Traveler is seeking a Chemo Certified RN for an Oncology Infusion position at an acute care Magnet hospital in Orange, CA, requiring outpatient oncology experience and an active CA RN license.

Oncology Infusion unit setting

Patient population consists of approximately 70% oncology-based therapy and 30% blood transfusion, IVIG, hydration, and iron infusion

Patient ratio of 1:4

Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM), with no weekend requirements
-
No on-call responsibilities

Floating between all facilities within the state is required; refusal to float may result in assignment termination

Charts in Epic (experience required)

Free parking available

Royal Blue scrubs required for RNs

Active CA RN license required; pending licenses are not accepted

Current BLS and Chemotherapy (Chemo) certifications required

Outpatient oncology (OP Onc) experience required

Minimum 1–2 years of experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted with Chemo certification and 2+ years of experience

Epic EMR experience required

Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting

SSN and DOB required for consideration

Administer oncology-based therapies, blood transfusions, IVIG, hydration, and iron infusions

All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; scheduling requests due to additional employment will not be considered
-
Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be considered at a local rate
-
