Position Overview
We’re looking for a detail-oriented, personable, and motivated Front Office Team Member who also has chairside assisting experience. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who enjoys both patient interaction and hands-on clinical involvement. You’ll play a key part in ensuring smooth daily operations—from welcoming patients and coordinating treatment to assisting chairside when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting Duties:
- Assist the dentist during procedures, including implant and restorative treatments.
- Prepare, disinfect, and sterilize operatories and instruments.
- Take digital x-rays, intraoral scans, and photos when needed.
- Support lab case management and digital workflows.
- Provide post-op instructions and ensure patient comfort.
Front Office Duties:
- Greet patients warmly and create a positive first impression.
- Schedule and confirm appointments in Open Dental.
- Verify insurance, collect copays, and prepare treatment estimates.
- Manage phone calls, emails, and recall/confirmation systems.
- Coordinate new patient intake, consent forms, and financial arrangements.
- Maintain accurate patient records and follow HIPAA protocols.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of dental front office experience (hybrid assisting experience preferred).
- Proficient in Open Dental (required).
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance coordination.
- Strong communication and multitasking skills.
- Warm, professional, and team-oriented demeanor.
- X-ray license and DA or RDA certification (preferred but not required).
