Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Clerk to join our logistics and operations team. The Warehouse Clerk will play a vital role in managing daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient inventory control, accurate order fulfillment, and smooth distribution processes. Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and quality standards.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products according to order specifications.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems.
- Coordinate with transportation management systems (TMS) for scheduling pickups and deliveries.
- Assist in inventory management activities including cycle counts, stock replenishment, and stock rotation.
- Support shipping & receiving operations by verifying freight documentation and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
- Operate forklifts and other materials handling equipment safely to move goods within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with procurement teams on sourcing materials and managing category inventory levels.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing warehouse efficiency and safety.
- Maintain organized warehouse space, adhering to safety standards and best practices in materials handling.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse management, logistics, or supply chain roles.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, shipping logistics, and distribution processes.
- Familiarity with transportation planning, freight management, and 3PL (third-party logistics) providers.
- Technical proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms such as SAP or AS400, and transportation management systems (TMS).
- Understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) operations.
- Excellent data analysis skills for supply chain analytics and demand planning.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; forklift certification preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking & packing activities.
- Effective communication skills for dispatching, coordination with logistics companies, and team collaboration.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and category management principles.
