Essential Job Functions:
The successful applicant will work directly for the Maintenance Director and will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment throughout all assigned County facilities, including:
- Clean restrooms, offices, break rooms, courtrooms, and conference and jury rooms.
- Clean entrance door windows, water fountains and corridor furniture.
- Vacuum carpets in offices and courtrooms, conference and jury rooms.
- Collect and empty refuse in accordance to the Counties Recycling Program.
- Clean outside entrances.
- Sweep, scrub, mop, wax and/or buff all corridors and stairwells and offices.
- Maintain janitorial supply inventory.
- Sanitize public areas and offices.
- Ability to follow oral and written directions; read and write at a level sufficient to fulfill the duties to be performed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in janitorial/housekeeping skills.
Special Requirements:
- Must possess the necessary physical ability to safely perform the position responsibilities and be able to lift 40 pounds.
