Executive Housekeeper
A Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining designated areas of the hotel and responding to guest requests while assisting all departments as needed to support the hotel’s commitment to outstanding guest service, cleanliness, and financial profitability.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
- Supervise, train, and support housekeeping staff, including hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, equipment, and other housekeeping materials.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and other hotel spaces to ensure they meet established cleanliness and quality standards.
- Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure guest needs and requests are handled effectively.
- Handle guest requests, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards are consistently followed.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient housekeeping operation.
- Monitor staff performance and ensure assigned duties are completed properly and on schedule.
- Assist with daily housekeeping operations as needed.
Experience and Qualifications
- Proven experience in housekeeping management, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques, custodial practices, floor care, and sanitation standards.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively supervise, train, and motivate a housekeeping team.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
- Dependable, adaptable, and customer-focused.
- Previous hotel housekeeping experience preferred.
- Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, employees, and other hotel personnel.
- Must be proficient in English.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, up to 9 hours.
- Ability to perform physical housekeeping duties and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Work Environment
The Executive Housekeeper will work closely with housekeeping staff, management, the front desk, maintenance, and other hotel departments to maintain the hotel’s cleanliness and ensure a positive guest experience.
Schedule: Schedule varies and may include weekends and holidays.
Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
