Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Assist with menu planning and ingredient prep to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, fryers, slicers, and mixers
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards
- Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service
- Adhere strictly to safety standards in production, including knife skills and slicing techniques
Skills
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or culinary environments is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food safety management and food handling practices
- Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
- Skilled in meal preparation, recipe adherence, and catering processes
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen setting
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of food industry standards related to safety standards in production and serving
