Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for outpatient patients per established standards and the nursing process.
- Collect and analyze relevant data, perform comprehensive assessments, determine care needs, and develop a measurable plan.
- Implement the care plan, coordinate care delivery with the interprofessional team, and promote a safe and healing environment.
- Administer medications and therapies as prescribed, monitor patient responses, and adjust care as needed.
- Educate patients and families, participate in discharge planning, and ensure continuity of care across transitions.
- Delegate appropriately, supervise assigned nursing staff, and document care activities and patient progress in the medical record.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; CPR certification required.
- AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS certification required.
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification required.
- Minimum of two years of recent nursing experience; experience in acute care or outpatient settings preferred.
- Education: BSN preferred.
- Epic EMR experience required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient setting and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week during the assigned 8-week contract.
