Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing administrative support within a medical setting, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy, along with excellent patient service skills to enhance the experience of our patients. Will be responsible for injections, must be very good at phlebotomy
Responsibilities
- Greet patients upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar effectively, along with front desk
- Maintain patient records, add vitals and ensure all information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Process insurance claims and verify patient eligibility, along with office manager
- Assist healthcare providers with administrative and medical tasks as needed.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Facilitate communication between patients and medical staff regarding treatment plans or follow-up care.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology to effectively communicate within the healthcare environment, and have experience as MA
- Proficient in using clinic systems for scheduling, record keeping, and billing processes.
- Exceptional patient service skills to create a welcoming atmosphere for patients.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
