Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Banquet Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of food and beverage offerings. As a Server, you will be responsible for creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while ensuring their needs are met promptly and efficiently.
We are heading into our peak event season and expanding our events team. We are considering FT, PT or on call servers. Pay is hourly + gratuities.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service throughout their dining experience.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS systems. (if applicable)
- Upsell menu items and promote daily specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining proper presentation standards.
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area according to sanitation guidelines.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and address any guest concerns or special requests.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to provide informed recommendations to guests.
- Uphold food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations throughout the service process.
- Perform cleaning and setup duties prior to, after and during service.
- Peform work in a mixed indoor/outdoor setting
- Set event function areas according to BEO, including moving of tables, chairs, av equipment, china, glassware, silverware, decorations and other items deemed necessary for the event.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred, particularly in fine dining or nightclub settings.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent customer service skills, with an emphasis on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and efficiently.
