Summary: The Electrical Assembler performs wiring and cabling operations on electrical and mechanical components in accordance with applicable safety, quality and productivity standards, instructions, and rules. Ensuring that products are of satisfactory quality and monitors compliance with clearly defined specificity such as drawings, manufacturing instructions and company procedures.
MISSIONS AND ACTIVITIES
FITTING AND MANUFACTURING
· The followings activities could be performed in the Latecoere Interconnection Systems US, Inc. workshop or, if needed and possibly, directly on customer site:
· Prepare the requisite items (documents, materials, tools and tooling) for manufacturing operations at the Assembler’s workstation. Check the condition and maintenance/calibration validity of equipment, tools, and tooling before use.
· Prepare the manufacturing operation materials and create the various harness material kits. The kit preparation may require operating some specific machinery such as: Wire laser printing and cutting machine, Labels Printing device, Label Kit printing.
· Perform Rework according to job cards provided by the Leader
· Comply with manufacturing schedules and instructions, to ensure that the shop fulfils its commitments. Ensure that quality, cost and schedule objectives set by the team leader are achieved.
· Meticulously apply rules relating to certifications and special authorization.
· Perform the manufacturing operations described in supplied instructions and appended documents (after checking that they are valid).
· Assemble mechanical and electrical components.
· Perform wiring work and cable harnesses, furnishings and structures.
· Perform self-inspections during and after operations, according to the Assembler skills and qualifications.
· Detect non-conformities arising out of the Assembler activity or upstream workstations (including suppliers, etc.).
· Notify managers of any difficulties or anomalies experienced and suggest areas for improvement.
· Support Inventory and Logistics activities: when scheduled, perform the inventory of components on-site and if needed, support the material reception activities.
- When required, perform on customer site activities such as rework, late modification,
- When required, support Stock, Logistics and Kitting activities.
- When required, operate the different workshop machines in accordance with Safety rules and internal methods.
· Stamp and fulfill all applicable document for traceability.
COMPLIANCE WITH COMPANY RULES
· Apply Latecoere Interconnection Systems quality assurance rules.
· Ensure that The Assembler’s workstation, tools and tooling are clean and tidy before beginning work and at the end of the shift.
· Comply with company rules as well as health and safety regulations.
· Uphold the applicable FOD procedure.

- Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time while repairing equipment.
- Ability to see details of objects that are less than a few feet away.
- See differences between colors, shades, and brightness, in accordance with products definitions.
- Use fingers to grasp, move or assemble very small objects while making repairs.
- Hold arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving arm when soldering and performing other repairs.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. unassisted
