BARTENDER
Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, outgoing, and service‑oriented Bartender to join our team at the Rochester Ice Center. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong mixology skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting drinks, maintaining a clean and organized bar, and providing exceptional customer service in a fun and fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide friendly, attentive service and engage with customers to create a positive atmosphere.
· Prepare and serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately.
· Take and process food and beverage orders through the point‑of‑sale system.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and kitchen areas at all times.
· Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including proper alcohol service.
· Monitor bar inventory and communicate supply needs to the supervisor.
· Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and issue correct change and receipts.
· Respond to customer concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
· Set up and break down bar areas before and after shifts.
· Restock coolers and bar supplies as needed.
Qualifications:
· Previous bartending experience preferred.
· Strong customer service and communication skills.
· Accurate cash‑handling and basic math skills.
· Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service.
· Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
· Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
· Familiarity with bar equipment (mixers, blenders, beer taps, etc.).
· Food safety and alcohol service certifications (e.g., ServSafe, TIPS).
Work Environment:
· Prolonged standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs).
· Busy and noisy environment, especially during events.
· Flexible schedule required, including evenings and weekends.
Pay Rate:
· $13.50 – $15.00 per hour plus tips (based on experience)
