Pipe Fitter / Welder (Shop Fabrication)

Pay: $18.00 – $38.00 per hour

Position Overview
This is a shop fabrication position in a fast-paced industrial pipe fabrication environment.
We are currently hiring:
- Pipe Fitters
- Welders
- Combo Welder/Fitters
Candidates must be capable of working in a production-driven setting while maintaining strict quality standards. Overtime opportunities available.
Key Responsibilities
Pipe Fitters:
- Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and specifications
- Lay out, fit, and assemble carbon steel piping systems
- Measure, cut, bevel, and prepare pipe for welding
- Ensure proper alignment and fit-up according to drawings
- Meet daily production goals while maintaining high quality standards
Welders:
- Perform high-quality welds using:
o SMAW (6010 & 7018)
o FCAW
o MIG
- Weld carbon steel pipe in various positions
- Follow WPS and quality control procedures
- Maintain consistency, penetration, and weld integrity
- Meet daily production goals while maintaining strict quality standards
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Pipe Fitter and/or Welder, or trade school completion
- Experience working with carbon steel piping
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Knowledge of pipe fitting tools and fabrication equipment
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to work in various positions and confined spaces
- Reliable transportation
- Must pass in-house weld test (for welding applicants)
Preferred:
- Experience with water and wastewater piping systems
- Experience fabricating 18”–36” pipe
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Forklift and overhead crane experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Stand, kneel, bend, and work on feet for extended periods
- Work in shop environmental conditions (heat, cold, noise)
