Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care by assessing vital signs, monitoring symptoms, and performing physical examinations with precision and empathy
- Administer medications, injections, IV insertions, and other treatments following strict protocols and safety standards
- Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic medical record systems and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
- Conduct thorough patient assessments utilizing knowledge of physiology and anatomy to inform appropriate care plans
- Perform basic life support (BLS) during emergencies
- Manage medical records diligently, ensuring all documentation reflects current patient status and treatment history
- Support infection control protocols and participate in quality improvement initiatives to uphold the highest standards of patient safety
Experience
- Strong familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical documentation and record keeping
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy to perform effective patient assessments and interventions
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as IV insertion are advantageous
