We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery box trucks to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met.
- Navigate routes using GPS or maps while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL is a plus but not neccessary.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver, courier, or in commercial driving is preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Physical ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods during loading/unloading activities.
- Familiarity with local roads and traffic patterns is beneficial.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policies.
