Job Title: Registered Nurse/Medical Surgical
Job location: 300 North Ave, Battle Creek MI, 49017
Contract length: 13, offering upto 26 weeks, please notate preference in submittal
Shift: Night (3x12 Hours) 19:00 7:30, 36 or 48 hour weeks available

- *HOLIDAYS REQUIRED CANNOT GUARANTEE HOLIDAY RTO*
- Must be available FIRST TWO WEEKS of assignment
- Will float to other Med Surg units
- Will work every other weekend.
- Other Requirements: Must be willing to work with variety of staff (i.e., RN, LPN, Techs etc.)
- Cannot guarantee/approve block scheduling at this time
Job requirements:
- Michigan RN License (pending license ok, must provide ETA)
- BLS (AHA) (will accept pending, please confirm willing to obtain)
- 2 Years Med/Surg Experience Preference.
- Minimum 1 year Required.
Unit:
BBC Medical, Surgical, Oncology Unit (C5) is a 37 bed unit caring for a wide variety of patient types. We care for general medical diagnosis patients. We specialize in the care of all gastrointestinal, urological, and gynecological surgeries.
Depending on the unit needs could be floated to different MS units. We all see a good mix of medical patients and our specialties can be seen below
ortho/neurovascular, cardio/pulmonary, Surgical patients are GI, urology, hysterectomies, mastectomies.
Staffing Ratio 1:5-6 for nights
Ratios may flex to 8 patients but RN will be paired with LPN for support in these instances
Variety of staff work on this unit and other Med/Surg units (i.e RNs, LPNs, Techs, etc).
Floating depends on need- typically float to other units once per week roughly
Patient Ratios:
Days: 1:6
Nights: 1:7
Float: Will float to other Med Surg units
Adults, Geriatrics
Daily Census: 26

IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Unit Secretary

C2 NVU- ortho/neurovascular
C3 GMU- cardio/pulmonary
C5 M/S Onc- Medical Surgical Oncology Surgical patients are GI, urology, hysterectomies, mastectomies.
