Position Summary:
World Around Us is seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Aide to support children’s learning and development in our childcare center. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is passionate about creating engaging, developmentally appropriate experiences for young children. Whether serving as a classroom teacher or supporting as an aide, this position plays an important role in fostering a positive early learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily classroom activities and routines in the childcare center
- Assist with or lead implementation of curriculum aligned with early childhood best practices
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
- Maintain strong communication with families regarding children’s development and classroom activities
- Ensure compliance with all licensing, health, and safety regulations
- Observe and support children’s progress, including developmental milestones
- Provide a safe, supportive, and consistent learning environment each day
- Collaborate with teaching staff to create meaningful learning experiences
Qualifications:
- Some college coursework in Early Childhood Education, a CDA, or qualifications that meet Minnesota Rule 3 requirements for teacher qualification preferred
- Previous experience in an early childhood setting preferred
- Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a dynamic environment
- A genuine passion for supporting young children’s growth and development
