Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pizza Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in preparing and cooking pizzas. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals that meet our customers' expectations. We are primarily a pizza kitchen. Pizza experience isn't required, but previous kitchen and line cook experience is a must. Prep experience is also great to have.
Awesome customer service, a great work ethic, positive attitude, and reliability are the most important traits for success. We interact with all of our customers so strong customer service skills are a necessity.
Duties include: prepping, pizza making, expo, managing the oven, washing dishes, cleaning, and interacting with customers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored, adhering to food safety standards.
- Assist in menu planning, suggesting new pizza varieties and seasonal offerings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling procedures.
- Use knives and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently for meal preparation.
- Help train new kitchen staff on pizza preparation techniques and kitchen protocols.
Skills
- Proven experience in a restaurant or food service environment, particularly in pizza cooking or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and dietary guidelines.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards.
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff.
- Creativity in menu planning and willingness to experiment with new flavors and ingredients.
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and understand customer requests.

Weekend and nighttime availability is a must!
· Must keep a positive approach with coworkers and customers.
· Will prepare and cook all food according to specifications and recipes.
· Will assist with training new team members.
· Will organize and manage all food orders in an orderly fashion and communicate with team members to ensure all food is baked/cooked properly with a standard presentation of all food.
· Must be personally hygienic and professional. Will maintain a clean working area while complying with nutrition sanitation regulations, and safety standards.
· Work quickly and calmly around hot ovens.
· Maintain quality standards and consistency of food by complying with sanitation standards and ongoing training & development.
· Lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods of time.
· Kitchen or line cook experience is a must!
· Dedication to serving only the best quality foods.
· Food Handler's certification is required at time of hire or within first 30 days.
· Will complete daily kitchen cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, dishes, etc.
