Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff and baristas
- Serve food, cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling techniques to enhance the guest experience
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, service stations, and dining areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks when needed and support kitchen staff during busy periods
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or high-volume settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order entry and sales processing
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine, and drink pairings
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse needs gracefully
- Ability to multitask efficiently while managing time effectively during busy shifts
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and handling cash transactions
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation standards in the food industry
- Previous experience with food handling, serving, bussing tables, or host/hostess duties is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales opportunities
- Hospitality background with a focus on guest relations and creating welcoming atmospheres
