The Application and Examination Process

Step 1: Apply to the Services Series Examination.

Step 2: You will then be invited to take the Broad-Based Services Written Examination.

Step 3: If your exam scores meet the minimum written exam passing scores, your scores will be banked and can be applied to related jobs.

Step 4: The Personnel Commission Office will then email you an application submission link encouraging you to apply to a specific job (example: Custodian) when the opportunity occurs.

Step 5: Once you submit an online application to a specific job, your application will be evaluated for the job's minimum qualifications. If you meet the job's minimum qualifications and your examination scores meet or exceed the job's relevant written exam passing scores, you will be invited to the next part of the process – the physical abilities performance examination.

Step 6: If you pass the computer based performance examination, you will be invited to the oral examination (interview).

Step 7: If you pass the oral examination, you will be placed onto that job's eligibility list. If you are within the top three (3) ranks, you will be interviewed for the first available position vacancy.
